January Special

1.13.2009

January special copyThis year I wanted to start it off by saying Thank You to all my clients last year. It was a great year. I hope to see some of you again this year.

Each month I will be posting a special. I am a little late on getting it started...but you know how that goes. Each special will end on the last day of each month.

In order to recieve this special you will need to call me before Jan 31st to schedule your session.

What is great about these specials is you can use them for any month you would like, but the catch is you have to call me during that month to recieve it. For example: If you wanted to take advantage of January's special, but you do not want to have your session til August, all you need to do it call me and set up a day and time before January 31st in order to recieve this special in August.

Each month will have a different special....I may run one twice...who knows.

This month special is 50% off session fee and 50% off prints. This excludes collections and custom art.

Session fees are due within 7 days of booking your session to reserve your date.

Please call me or email me at 308.6503. Email: jaime@jaimepottphotography.com

Can't wait to hear from you!

2008 Christmas Tree

12.06.2008

This is my Christmas tree this year. I changed my colors alittle bit. I added maroonish/red color to the gold. I totally love it. I got all of my ornaments and ribbon for the bow at Target last year after Christmas for 75% off. I love after Christmas sales!! We put up our tree about 2 weeks ago. I love decorating for Christmas.
2008 Christmas Tree
This bow is just gorgeous. A girl that I work with told me that her Aunt makes bows....I totally jumped at that chance...since I had the ribbon and tried for about 45 minutes to make a bow, with no results. I brought in the ribbon....and she gave me this fabulous bow. THANK YOU! It's perfect.

How cute is this? I love how Josh hung the stockings there. I wasn't sure where to put them since we really didn't have a mantel. Perfect spot!!! Great thinking hun!!
Our Stockings
I got these stockings after Christmas last year (online) at the Pottery Barn Kids. I absolutely love them. I couldn't wait to use them this year.

Wii.....went to get a Christmas Tree

just alittle snow...
Today we went over to my parents house to celebrate my birthday. Yes I realize it was like 2 weeks ago, BUT my dad only has every other weekend off...so it was pushed til today. This picture above is our drive over to their house. Crazy huh?
daddy walking ethan up the hill
Ethan was really excited to be able to go in the snow and play. He couldn't wait til we got his gear on. And that sure does take a while with an anxious 2 year old. My parents have a very large yard with several little hills. We didn't have a sled for him to ride in so my dad got the trash can lid for him to go down the hill on...Worked great and Ethan loved it.
daddy just pushes me down the hillethan sledding down a hill in a trash can lid
After some sleding we decided to go cut down a Christmas tree for my parents. I don't recall the name of the place we went but we always go to the same place in Rockford to get the tree.
Don't we look cold???? Ethan so did not want a picture at this time....he was throwing a fit, that's why he was on the ground.
Josh, Ethan and I
I love his lil red cheeks and nose...he had a great time looking all around the tree farm.
Ethanit's a little cold..
We eventually found one, considering we all like different styles of trees. We got a FULL Figured sized tree. LOL This tree is very plump let me tell you. Josh and my dad had to carry it up a hill...I think it was pretty heavy. =)
My dad and Josh
We returned home with the tree. We put Ethan down for a nap...he was cranky and tired let me tell you. Way past nap time. We had a great dinner. THANKS MOM!! And then we decided to play Wii. Oh how so much fun Wii bowling is!! I love it...I can whoop some booty in that game.
My last game today I had 10 strikes and left open 2 frames. hehehe I was trying to get all strikes but that didn't work...maybe next time.

Christmas Swap Gift....

11.28.2008

I got my gift the other day from my Christmas Swap partner.....SHELLEY!!!
I got home from work one day last week and I had a package waiting for me....I thought hmmm who is this from...I looked at it and it was from Shelley. I thought to myself what in the heck did she send me...and WHY? The I had a DUH moment....she was my swap person....I was so excited I could barely wait to open it. I knew it was going to be something gorgeous. I have seen her tree and her ornaments are just so pretty. I was NOT disappointed...that is for sure. I totally love them and put my tree up that night just so I could put them on there. I love them Shelley and they are perfect on my tree...Thank you so much. I really appreciate it!!!
These are NOT the best pictures in the world but you get the idea!!
This first ornament is my absolute favorite...It is so gorgeous and rich looking...my favorite kind!
Christmas Swap
I changed the theme of my tree this year alittle. I added some reds to it. It used to be just gold and greenish/gold color. So this went with it perfectly!
Christmas Swap
I just love this cross...so pretty!
Christmas Swap
And who doesn't love some good smelling Christmas candles?!?!? I totally love this smell. You can smell it without even burning it.
Christmas Swap
Thanks again so much Shelley. I love it all!!!

Halloween Night...

11.03.2008

Halloween 2008
We had a fun time Trick or Treating. We got him dressed about 6:30pm and just went outside...he was getting antsy. Not that he even knew what was going on.
I thought I would get some of him just outside playing...

Halloween 2008

He was so cute....His basket for Trick or Treating is his Easter basket. I got it earlier this year for Easter next year. I thought it kind of matched so we went with it....Plus I didn't buy him a Halloween one....which I will have to do for next year I am sure. The basket is from Pottery Barn Kids...I love it...It has his name embroidered on it.
Halloween 2008

I totally love this picture I captured of him...one of my favs so far. In his costume. Love his eyes.
i heart this one!!!

We were waiting for Jacob to come over....it was about 7pm when they came over to go Trick or Treating with us....They were so cute.

Halloween 2008

After Trick or Treating we got a few of the boys with some of our neighbors....they were all just adorable!!!

Halloween 2008

And how cute is this one....they are all looking at Jacob....so funny!

outside with ethan today....

10.18.2008

huh?!?!?!I took Ethan outside today so he could just run around and play. We had been in the house all day long so I thought it would be fun. Plus I wanted to get some pictures of him in his new hat. (Which I will be doing a review on the beginning of November over at SIMPLE) How adorable is he???

citefuzz review
I love this 2nd picture. I actually got this shot by accident. I just held it off to the side and pressed the button....and look what I got....it is my favorite.

It as really nice outside today....an bit chilly, I would say in the 50s. but it felt good. There wasn't a need to winter coats yet....but I know that day is coming very soon.

what's that?

Not sure what he was pointing at....but his
question is always "What's that?" It is funny.

Josh mentions to me tonight that when he was at Big Lots today he saw a brand called Seventh Generation.....I said "WHAT? You did?" He of course didn't know what it was but I sure did....I said what products did they have in that brand? He said they had diapers and detergent. I asked him how much they were and he said it was $8 for the diapers and $5 for the detergent. I said you better back to Big Lots right now and get me some of that. hehehe For the diapers it is $15.99 at the Harvest Health and it is like $17.99 for the detergent. He comes home with 5 packs of diapers and 6 bottles of detergent...HAHAHAHA we are crazy....WHOO HOOO...

*Side note: I still use cloth diapers, but at night Ethan seems to go obsessive amounts and soaks thru the cloth in no time. So at night we use the disposibles. It helps most nights...but sometimes he even soaks thru those.*
